Category: Reflections & Insights

Every journey offers more than new places, new people, or new knowledge. It also offers an opportunity to reflect, question, and see the world from a different perspective.
In this section, I share reflections and insights drawn from research, teaching, international cooperation, cultural exchange, travel, and everyday life. These writings represent my ongoing attempt to understand how people, cultures, and societies can coexist, learn from one another, and build a more sustainable and peaceful future.
The thoughts presented here are not final conclusions, but snapshots of a continuing journey of learning and discovery. Sometimes, a small experience can illuminate a larger truth. Sometimes, a question is more valuable than an answer. This space is dedicated to that journey of reflection.

Why I Became a Teacher?

From Learner to Lecturer: My Journey into Teaching Looking back, I realize that my journey into teaching did not begin when I first stood in front of a university classroom. It began much earlier, long before I ever imagined becoming a lecturer. As a secondary and high school student, I often helped younger family members...

Despite the uncertainties and...

In June 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in the ASEAN–China Future Relations Forum in Jakarta as a representative of the ASEAN–China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS). I was also honored to serve as one of the speakers in a discussion session on the theme: “Building Heart-to-Heart Bridges for a Closer ASEAN–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”...

May 2026 Reflection: When the Streams Converge

A reflection on eighteen years of journeying to better understand who I am and the path I wish to follow. There are periods in life when everything seems to unfold in an ordinary way. We study. We work. We meet people. We travel through different places. Each experience is like a small stream, carrying its...

An Encounter Beyond Expectations: When Life, Ecology, Art, and Philosophy Converge

On May 1, 2026, I experienced an encounter that will likely remain with me for a long time in both my academic journey and personal growth – a profound conversation with the painter He Shuaizhen, who defines himself as an “ecological and peace-oriented artist.” What made this meeting particularly meaningful is that it began almost...
